As someone who often writes about trends in the cannabis market, I’ve become a strong advocate for the global expansion of medical cannabis.
SOMAÍ is a company with that same goal in mind. When asked to cover SOMAÍ and its vision, I knew it would be challenging to condense their four-year journey into a concise narrative. With over 100 extract products, multiple flower brands, and unique indoor flower offerings, SOMAÍ’s story deserves to be told in a way that highlights the company’s incredible accomplishments. SOMAÍ: Purification, Consistency, Effect and Taste
SOMAÍ was founded in 2020 with a clear vision: to create the largest portfolio of single-strain, full-bud flower extract lines using multiple delivery devices and methods. The goal was not just to develop high-quality medical-grade cannabis products but to make them consistent from batch one to batch 1,000.
Every SOMAÍ extract is a single-strain full bud flower extract, and there is no mixing and no trim to ensure maximum values of the most active substances. All flowers are EU-GMP grown and dried to ensure that each batch is the same as the next. Further, SOMAÍ has a three-step process. They first extract terpenes, which is why they publish their terpene results. Next, extracts for minor and major cannabinoids are rated for efficiency around 92%. Finally, a third machine takes out impurities/non-essentials while at the same time ensuring minor cannabinoid consistency batch to batch, which is why they are able to publish their minor cannabinoids. By removing non-essential compounds like fats, lipids, chlorophyll, and plant materials, SOMAÍ ensures clean and pure extractions. The company’s team of elite scientists adds carefully blended natural terpenes to formulations to create custom, therapeutic medicines tailored to global demographics. Extraction and formulation are about technology and know-how.
Custom Ratios for Every Patient's Needs
One of SOMAÍ’s key differentiators is its wide range of cannabinoid ratios. This broad selection ensures every patient can find a product that suits their specific needs.
The company began by formulating a simple 10:10 THC:CBD oral drop and soon expanded its collection to contain more than 15 varieties, including options like 25:25, 25:<1, 50:<1, 2.5:25, 3:50, 0:100, <1:100, and more. Every SOMAÍ offering is produced under EU-GMP standards, is stable, and has up to a one-year shelf life.
Very importantly, SOMAÍ doesn’t make one 10:10; we make 18 versions of 10:10 and other ratios. SOMAÍ’s product lines are divided into six categories. The core products are oils with high consistency and minor cannabinoid content, called the essentials line. The mint line, also currently in the market, is the first differentiator to improve patient compliance and performance by adding terpenes and flavonoids. Upcoming launches will be the Origins lines, Senses lines, and faster-absorbing product lines, all in indica, hybrid, and sativa single-strains with enhanced terpene performance.
Broadest Product Range for Tailored Treatment
Today, medical cannabis patients often face limited treatment options. SOMAÍ changes the game with a broad and diverse product range.
SOMAÍ offers an extensive array of delivery methods, including inhalation cartridges, soft gel capsules, sprays, oral gums, rosins, resins, and concentrates, all in various ratios and dosages.
For example, soft gel caps come in various dosages, from 1mg, 2.5,g, 5mg to 10mg THC. SOMAÍ’s soft gel capsules cover both balanced and high-THC formats, with pharma-grade options of also high CBD 0:30 and <1:50 CBD/THC ratios capsules. Plus, they give all these same ratios in a faster-acting formula.
SOMAÍ’s inhalation products were launched in eight varieties, with ten more in development, ensuring that patients can find the exact combination of taste and therapeutic effect that works for them. These come in the Essentials line, Origins line, Senses line, as well as Rosin and Resin lines.
SOMAÍ's Flower Brands: Global and In-House Excellence
In early 2024, SOMAÍ acquired a state-of-the-art indoor cultivation facility, NovaSoma. Within just two months, the company secured a six-country exclusive grow supply deal with Cookies and other partners, selling out the new facility’s production capacity through 2027.
SOMAÍ has brought in renowned flower brands like Ghost Drops and also offers its own in-house collections including Soma OG and Taste Bitz. These non-irradiated, premium indoor flowers offer a range of high-quality patient options. Soma OG features top-tier “A” buds, while the Taste Bitz brand offers the same exceptional quality at a more accessible price point with smaller “popcorn” buds.

With 134 employees and a global sales team, SOMAÍ is reaching markets far and wide, bringing high-quality, pharma-grade products to providers and patients at reasonable prices. SOMAÍ offers the largest portfolio of direct-manufactured medical cannabis products that meet the rigorous standards of pharmaceutical market authorization dossiers, including in the toughest regulatory markets.
As SOMAÍ continues to innovate, the company’s 2025 product lineup will finalize stability testing and begin preparations for the 2026 lineup.
