A recent study conducted by the University of Colorado Boulder indicates that consuming marijuana before running can enhance the overall exercise experience.

The study involved 49 runners who were surveyed about their experiences running with and without the use of cannabis.

Participants reported heightened positive emotions, increased tranquility, greater enjoyment, and more pronounced symptoms of runner’s high when using cannabis.

Although runners were observed to be 31 seconds slower per mile after consuming marijuana, this decrease in speed was not statistically significant.

Moreover, participants noted experiencing lower levels of pain after using cannabis.

The study concludes that acute cannabis use may enhance the exercise experience for regular users of marijuana.

These findings are consistent with previous research suggesting that marijuana users often find workouts more enjoyable and engage in more physical activity.
