1. The Plantz Buying Club
Each month, in exchange for your subscription, you receive Plantz Pointz. These can be used in our online shop to get discounts, up to a maximum of 10%.
As an example, if you were to buy a Puffco for £195, you can save a maximum of £19.50.
Now, you might be thinking, it’s going to take me 4 months (assuming £5 per month) to get the discount. And this is where our Pointz reward system kicks in.
Every member can earn points by contributing to the community. So, simply by logging in you will earn points. Add a new forum topic = more points. Comment on a post = more points, and so on. The more you contribute, the more rewards you earn.
However, you can also apply to take on roles. This could be writing an article, doing some research or moderating a forum. If you take on a role you’ll get rewarded with extra points in your account. These points can be used to get discounts in addition to your subscription.
In other words, contribute to the community and earn rewards.
2. Earn points for your contributions
In addition to your subscription you can earn points in many other ways, through either participation or contributions.
Participation includes things like logging in, posting a topic in the forum, joining a Group or even watching a video.
Contributions include roles & content. Content covers things like articles, interviews, videos and research. Roles can be moderating the forums, posting articles, graphic design, etc We post a list of available roles on the Job Board
3. You vote on what we do
Points can be used to get discounts in our shop. However, they also entitle you to vote on company proposals. These can include additions to the site, how we spend our money and the types of products we stock.
Eventually, the aspiration is to use Smart Contracts. This means the votes of our community will be binding – if a majority of our community want something their vote is binding. That means we, as in, the people working for Plantz, will be steered by what our community wants us to do.
