Report from Brumsterdam

I attended a cannabis festival at the weekend, here are a few things I learnt:

  1. Several thousand people attending an illegal cannabis event shows the vibrancy & depth of the UK’s underground industry.
  2. Biscotti is still the UK underground’s ‘evergreen’ popular strain
  3. Price for UK grown flower remains around £35-40 for 3.5g, rising to £50-£80 for ‘Cali’
  4. Cali strains still regarded as the premium flower, with a lot of Zkittles, Cookies and fruit mash-ups.
  5. Permanent Marker, spotted at a number of vendors, has become the first choice Seed Junky strain, replacing Jealousy.
  6. I was told ‘Peach’ flavours are most popular, with Watermelon, Tang and Cherry seen in abundance.
  7. Lots of crossover with strains available on UK ‘Med’ market, with Cereal Milk, Zoap, Bacio, Jet Fuel etc all available, begging obvious question, if these strains are good enough for Med patients……
  8. No representation from UK clinical market, although given the nature of the event, perhaps not surprising
  9. Highly diverse crowd showing once again the plant’s broad appeal across a divergent market combined with its lifestyle appeal
  10. Market continues to innovate – next, look out for Mushroom Marshmallows! All the fun but without the mushroom flavour. Proved extremely popular at the Miss Medibles tent 🙂
