Cannabinoids, particularly cannabidiol (CBD), have shown promise in the management of anxiety. In this project, we explore the relationship between cannabinoids and anxiety, shedding light on how these compounds may provide a pathway to calm for individuals facing anxiety-related challenges.
This project aims to explore the physical effects of anxiety, including General Anxiety Disorder. This condition can be highly debilitating for sufferers who may find cannabinoids can help relieve some of the worst symptoms.
Cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, have featured in many trials exploring how they can help relieve symptoms of anxiety by interacting with our receptors. However, there is a growing body of evidence to show terpenes such as Limonene can also help.
This project covers the growing body of research that underpins the interest in cannabinoids as an effective way of treating anxiety and at the same time, reducing patient dependence on traditional treatments such as anti-depressants.
In this project:
- A comprehensive database of research papers that can be used by patients and medical professionals, with science papers written in plain English to make them easier to understand.
- Interviews with patients and Doctors to hear their experiences
- Feedback, in forums and group chats, for patients to share and learn from each other. Which treatment works best for them.
- A database of Doctors, support groups and clinics who specialise in treating anxiety with cannabinoids.
